SUNDAY VOLUNTEERS
[ FIRST IMPRESSIONS TEAM ]
Communion Setup & Refresh
Summary: Communion Setup volunteers setup the Lord’s Supper table, including filling wine and juice cups.
Time Commitment: Sundays, 8:30–9:30am (approx.)
Geneva House Hosts
Summary: Geneva House Hosts brew coffee and create a hospitable presence in the Geneva House on Sunday mornings. They brew coffee prior to our worship service and clean up the Geneva House following our worship service.
Time Commitment: Sundays, 9:00–10:00am and 11:30am–12:00pm
Attendance Counter
Summary: Attendance Counter volunteers take attendance in the sanctuary and in 2 Pillars Kids during the worship service.
Time Commitment: Sundays, 10:00–11:15am
Greeter
Summary: Greeters' primary responsibility is to be present at the parking lot door or sanctuary entrance, greeting people as they enter.
Time Commitment: Sundays, 9:45–10:15am
Clean-up
Summary: Communion Clean-up volunteers are responsible for cleaning up the Lord’s Supper table following second service. This person also helps clean up the Geneva House after second service.
Time Commitment: Sundays, 11:15–11:50am (approx.)
[ 2 PILLARS KIDS ]
Summary: 2 Pillars Kids is our children's ministry. We currently have Sunday morning service opportunities with nursery, pre-k, as well as grades 1-2. The Sign-in Station role is responsible for helping check-in kids.
Time Commitment: Sundays, 9:45am – 11:45am
[ SAFETY & SECURITY TEAM ]
Safety and Security
Summary: Responsible for ensuring our facilities are safe and protected on Sunday mornings. Also responsible for greeting at entrances and monitoring entrances and other areas during the service. Additional training is required for all Safety and Security Team members.
Needs: Sundays, 9:45am – 11:45am
First Aid/CPR
Summary: It is also our goal to know that we have someone in attendance at the worship gathering that is First Aid/CPR certified and prepared to respond to a medical emergency in the building. The only requirements for this person is that you are present during the worship gathering (available) and that you sit in a specific spot (accessible).
Needs: Sundays, 10:00am - 11:30am
[ MUSICIANS COMMUNITY ]
Summary: Responsible for worship music during Sunday morning worship gatherings as well as the operation of the sound board and slides. Additional training is required.
Needs: Sundays, 8:30am – 11:30am in addition to rehearsal time during the week.
NON-SUNDAY VOLUNTEERS
[ FACILITIES ]
Summary: Facilities volunteers will be responsible for general upkeep, maintenance, and stewardship of the 2 Pillars facilities. They will serve under the direction of our Director Facilities. Specific roles and responsibilities will be defined and assigned as needed. These roles may include: custodial, supply purchasing, lighting, outdoor upkeep, storage manager, and small projects.
[ EVENT PLANNING TEAM ]
Summary: The Event Planning Team will assist in the planning and coordination of 2 Pillars events, classes, and all-church gatherings.
[ EVENT LEAD ]
Summary: Event Leads work closely with our Deacon of Events to ensure excellent execution of particular events to which they are assigned. They help foster a hospitable culture and welcoming environment for those attending events.
[ CHILDCARE ]
Summary: Responsible for providing childcare, as needed, for 2 Pillars events, classes, and all–church events. Compensation is sometimes provided based upon the nature of the event.
[ CREATIVE TEAM ]
Summary: The Creative Team creates graphics for sermon series, song slides, Sunday morning slides, and other graphic needs.
[ DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT TEAM ]
Summary: The Digital Engagement Team is responsible for social media, website, and blog content creation, editting, publishing, and maintenance.
[ 2PC Youth ]
Summary: 2PC Youth is our youth group focused on engaging youth 6th-12th grade through monthly gatherings.
[ 2PC Kids: 3-5 Grade ]
Summary: Once a month we gather 3rd-5th graders together on a Sunday morning for a class time geared at engaging them, in an age-specific way, with sermon content from the prior month’s worship gatherings. Additionally, this group meets once a month for a time of social engagement with each other.
